Greetings parents! We are off and running and it is exciting! I am proud of the way the students have adjusted and how serious they are about their learning. Our time together has been maximized by student participation in discussions and diligence in completing activities. I'm looking forward to what this week has in store.
Writing Tomorrow we will review the narrative writing rubric before students submit their final draft. We will introduce our next narrative writing topic. We will spend time working through various planning strategies. As a special treat, we will be interviewing a trained screenwriter on what makes a compelling story. ELA Students took a quiz on Friday about the structure of poems. I'll post grades by Tuesday at the latest. This week we will explore point of view in various texts. Social Studies This week we will wrap up our Unit on World War II. We will discuss the WWII battles and their implications. Grades My goal is to post grades between Monday and Tuesday on Google Classroom. I'll send out a notification with instructions on how to check those grades when they have been posted. The quiz we took on Friday will be posted first. The writing grades will be posted later in the week since students will be making their final submissions on tomorrow. As always if you have any questions just shoot me an email. Have a great week!

And we even laughed at a few Bernie Sanders memes I found! I am excited and looking forward to this week. Below is a quick overview of what we will be covering this week.
